In this set of videos, we’ll cover the vocalization commonly referred to as an Alarm Bark, and we’ll discuss a component of that vocalization – what some folks refer to as the Grunt. Like we talk about in the Cow Elk Vocalizations and Communication “Alarm Bark” video, the Alarm Bark is often one of the most dreaded vocalizations heard by hunters in the field each year, generally recognized as being made by an animal, either a bull or a cow, vocally announcing that they believe “danger” might be nearby. But like we talked about in the other video, not only are there ways to avoid being barked at in the first place, there are different intensities, or levels, to the Alarm Bark, as well as different vocal components to the vocalization – especially when we’re talking about bulls – that are important to differentiate and understand.
