What You'll See:
While this video might be a little “slower” than some of the others, it still carries its fair share of great lessons! In this video, you’ll see how a more “open” Doorway can encourage a bull to keep his distance, and you’ll hear some great bull vocalizations/bugling that you should consider practicing with! Like with some of the other videos in this series, other than a few edits where the bull spent extended periods feeding, everything happens as fast - or slow - as it did out in the field, and that in itself ends up being an important part of the lessons to be gleaned from this encounter!
Setting the Stage:
A few hours earlier, in the dark of night, Chris heard a number of great sounding bulls in this area, so he decided to catch a couple hours of sleep, and then slip back in before daybreak to see what footage he could collect. As he made his way toward a couple of great sounding bulls, this bull sounded off a lot closer than expected! Chris quickly set up, hit record, and made the best of a larger opening and “Doorway” to call from than what he might have normally chosen.
Viewing / Listening Tips:
As with the other videos, the best audio experience is with headphones / ear-buds; some of the bull’s more subtle vocalizations might be missed unless your speakers are turned up loud.
