Dominant Bugles are those we think of when we start day-dream of chasing big, screaming bulls, and are those primarily used by on stage by competition callers.

Sometimes referred to as “Aggressive Bugles," or “Challenge Bugles," I refer to these vocalizations as “Dominant" because they aren’t always used in an aggressive manner, or for the purpose of “challenging” another individual.

Like with Contact Bugles and most other bull vocalizations, Dominant Bugles can be made at a variety of different intensity levels. From mild Dominant Bugles, all the way to the monstrous-sounding “Lip-Bawls” and “Screaming” Bugles that we all love, understanding the different levels of Dominant Bugles is important in order to be able to properly use them in the field.
