Jonathan Harris has graciously allowed us to share a few of his game-cam video clips from a camera he put over a large water hole just below timberline. On this particular day, a large group of cows and calves decided to have a “Pool Party,” and the camera caught some incredible video and audio of cows and calves (and a few young bulls) playing, and vocalizing. Besides enjoying the antics and behavior, pay close attention to the calf vocalizations, and their pitch, timing, frequency, inflection, etc. …this provides a GREAT example of the sounds I talk about when I refer to using CALF Lost Mews, or Lost Calf Mews, in the Elk Hunter’s Strategy App, the Strategies in Action section, and elsewhere.
