The Wallow Bull

What You'll See:
This video provides a great lesson on how well elk can pin-point the location of a caller, how good their memory is, how you can't always judge a bull by his bugle, and how fickle mountain air currents can be! Chris calls a bull in from nearly 300 yards away using a Targeted cow calling strategy, and films some great elk wallowing action when the bull decides to slather up, and get a good drink before finally coming in.
Setting the Stage:
Earlier this particular morning, Chris had located a group of elk with what sounded like at least one good bull in it, so he came back later that same evening, and got in position to catch them coming out of their bedding area headed back to where they had previously been feeding. While he waited, another bull started bugling up the ridge, responding to another bull off in the distance, way down the valley. Given he sounded like an eager, "younger age-class" bull, Chris decided to "have a little fun" calling him in while he waited for the other elk to get active.
Viewing / Listening Tips:
The best audio is heard while wearing headphones or ear-buds, however, like with the other videos, just be careful with your volume as some of Chris' calls/calling can be somewhat loud.
Within the Strategy App:
I know where the elk are > They're talking now > Bulls > Vocalizing Routinely > Calling Strategies > I Don't Know (assume with cows) > Bugling > High-Pitched Bugles > Evening > Cow Vocalization Strategies > Late Season > Targeted Strategy
